In the first race with Wayne riding, The Ray Price Racing Top Fueler Qualified for the 2003 AHDRA Eastern finals at Rockingham, NC. They Qualified 11th, running a 6.77 @ 206. Wayne ran a close 1st round race, running a 6.72 @ 204, Missing the win by a margin of .09 seconds.

Two weeks later The Team Ran a Match series at the IHRA World Finals, also held at Rockingham. The 3-day event was excellent. The team had already become a tight knit operation, stepping up the performance of the Ray Price Top Fueler. On only his 5th full pass on the bike Wayne ran a 6.33 @ 217, which made him the 3rd quickest Top Fuel Harley rider on the Planet! That pass was only .07 seconds away from being a world record.
